**NEWS RELEASE**

As Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Please pass the word that Madrassatul Mu'minoon Learning Center is trying to make the financial burden on families lighter this upcoming school year (2009-2010).  We are introducing a Co-op to families who have the ability and time to dedicate in not only teaching their own children but other families as well.  We are not asking for our parents to have degrees or certifications to participate in this Co-op (although it helps) but what we are asking for is your time and dedication. 

Participating in a Co-op gives parents the opportunity to observe the growth and development of their children first hand in a school-like setting.  The classes are operated by the parents.  Members, through the Executive Committee (EC), set certain guidelines and assume the administrative and financial responsibilities of the school. The educational program is under the direction of trained teachers and the Director, who are assisted in the daily schedule by the parents.

Families benefit from a cooperative:

• It develops community spirit and provides companionship, new opportunities and incentive for the parents.
• The parents can learn as much as the children. Skills and insights learned in school can be used at home.
• Transition between home and school is smoother for parent and child.
• Parents share in their child's first important school experience.

If your family is interested in learning more about how to become a member of our Cooperative school, attend our Open house on Friday May, 22, 2009 from 5pm - 7pm.  Please call to RSVP! 

And if you are just interested in sending your child to our school without participating in our Co-op feel free to navigate through our website, place your child on our waiting list and call us for further questions.

Madrassatul Mu'minoon Learning Center, a PA non-profit, non-public, tuition-based school, has been established to provide the children of our community with a rich and stimulating atmosphere, encourage proper Islamic Adhaab, and to uplift academic excellence that will allow the children to feel a sense of accomplishment, personal growth and preparedness for today, tomorrow and in the hereafter. 

By Allah's will, we will strive to be a unified, cooperative central piece to the community focusing not only on the child, but the family as an entire unit.  We will promote our students' desire to learn and willingness to make change for the betterment of our community.  Our vision, which began in 2006, is to allow the children in our community to learn from one another, respect one another and to encourage each other.

Don’t forget to register your children in our programs so as to make sure they will have a spot. Let’s work together and make your child’s education a success, with Allah’s (SWT) help, insha’allah!  This is a definite need in our community and we can't do it alone. 

May Allah grant us the Tawfeeq in educating our youth, implementing Tafsiyah wa Tarbiyah and raising our children upon Birr & Taqwa all while working towards a common goal for our community.  Ameen
